Alison Bailey Vercruysse is a food entrepreneur, professional baker and advocate for food justice and regenerative food systems. Alison is currently writing a baking book, memoir of her experiences as a food entrepreneur and baker in San Francisco for 18 years.
Alison founded and led the growth of a national organic granola and bar brand called 18 Rabbits. The granola and bars were sold in over 8,000 locations that included coffee shops, hotels, airports, e-commerce and grocery. With a mission that everyone has the right to pure and simple food, Alison founded 1% for Kids where 18 Rabbits gave 1% of all food made to kids affected by food insecurity.
Alison was named to WeWork’s 40 over 40 list, 2016. In September 2012, Alison testified in front of the Congress of the United States at the request of the Financial Services Committee on how the JOBS Act could promote capital formation and facilitate public offerings. She served for several years on the Board of Directors and the Loan Review Committee of Working Solutions, a certified, nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that works with entrepreneurs who want to start or grow thriving local businesses in Northern California.
Alison Bailey Vercrcuysse holds an MBA in International Business from DePaul University and a BBA from Southern Methodist University. Alison lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and son.
