Founding Portland Chapter President

Debra’s backgrounds in marketing and nutrition are combined in her current role as Director of Foodservice Marketing at Pacific Foods.  Debra is a second-career registered dietitian who was working for a wellness center in the Chicago area when she was recruited by Quaker Oats to work in their test kitchens.  She has worked in food and foodservice marketing ever since.  At Pacific, she has partnered with baristas and coffee professionals to create the Barista Series line of plant-based beverages. 

Debra has also been active in the American Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics on local, state, and national levels.  She served as President of the Chicago Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Education Chair of the Illinois Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics and was Education Chair (twice) for the Food & Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group.  Debra also was the Founding President of the Portland Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier, a philanthropic and educational organization dedicated to furthering the careers of women in culinary professions.
