Susan Renke
Susan Renke is the Promotion Director for the Pacific Northwest Canned Pear Service (PNCPS) representing the growers and processors of U.S. canned Bartlett pears grown in Oregon and Washington. Her primary focus for the pear industry is working with K-12 Schools and USDA Foods programs supporting American agriculture. Susan manages the marketing, public relations, and social media programs for PNCPS, focusing on activities reaching menu decision-makers and culinary nutrition influencers.
Susan is a foodservice industry marketing veteran who has built her career working with a variety of food and agriculture organizations, including commodity boards, branded companies, agencies, and trade associations. Susan’s specialty is foodservice business development and marketing programs aimed at increasing sales, visibility, and brand equity. She has strong relationships with distributors and foodservice operators plus an in-depth knowledge of foodservice distribution and purchasing systems, menu development, and culinary trends.
Susan has worked with organizations such as Driscoll’s, the Pear Bureau Northwest (USA Pears), and Sunkist Growers, while running her foodservice consulting business, Food Marketing Resources. She has also managed foodservice programs in positions with the California Strawberry Commission, Sun World International, the Produce Marketing Association, Ketchum Public Relations, and the Culinary Institute of America. In her spare time, Susan leads culinary tours to international and domestic destinations with her company, Global Palate Adventures.
