Elaina J. Spring, CMP
Events Committee
Co-Founder, Co-Owner of Woven Wineworks & Covey Ridge Vineyards
Elaina is the winegrower for Covey Ridge Vineyard, a 35-acre bio-diverse property located in the Tualatin Hills AVA. For the past ten years she and her family have maintained an unwavering commitment to growing extraordinary wines through sustainable and organic methods. While 95% of the annual grape harvest is sold, each year a tiny block is reserved for the family’s boutique label called Woven. In addition to overseeing vineyard operations, Elaina has embarked on her own journey to learn winemaking and completed the prestigious Wine Executive Program through the Department of Viticulture and Enology at UC Davis. A majority of her wines are now designated LIVE certified sustainable and Salmon-Safe. She proudly became the first Craft Certified wine producer in the state of Oregon.
Elaina has traveled extensively to share her passion for handcrafted wine. In 2017, she was invited to pour her wines at the historic James Beard House in New York City alongside an esteemed group of internationally recognized chefs. In addition to currently running an urban tasting room in Portland's Johns Landing neighborhood she has developed a series of full sensory wine tasting workshops.
Elaina received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Evergreen State College as well as a supplemental Business Certificate in Event Management from the University of Oregon. She has also earned a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, one of the event industry's highest honors. As a dual citizen of Canada and the United States, Elaina was honored to dedicate four years of service to the organizing efforts of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
